Clippers Win: The trade has aged as one of the clearest talent-for-flexibility swaps of the early 2020s. Portland can defend the financial logic, especially the repeater-tax reset, but financial logic is not the same as equal trade value. Los Angeles got multiple seasons of high-end scoring, useful Covington minutes and a still-movable Powell contract. That is a decisive basketball return.
