Trade Analysis
Houston acquired Jonny Flynn, Donatas Motiejunas’ rights and a conditional second. Minnesota received Brad Miller, Nikola Mirotic’s rights, Chandler Parsons’ rights and a protected first. Motiejunas became a useful Rocket, but Parsons and the broader outgoing package produced the stronger realized return, creating a the other team Win. Houston’s process and outcome both suffered because the return built around Jonny Flynn was too limited relative to the value surrendered in Brad Miller.
