The long-term value clearly favored San Antonio Spurs over Indiana. Indiana received 1975 second-round pick (#18-Jim Lee); cash and sent Donnie Freeman. The Pacers side is graded C-, compared with B+ for the aggregate the other team return. Because this was a lower-impact transaction, the grade is intentionally compressed; modest cash, rights, or late-pick differences are not inflated into franchise-level wins or losses.
