Trade Analysis
Philadelphia received Tobias Harris for a playoff push, but Los Angeles extracted Landry Shamet, Wilson Chandler, Mike Muscala and a substantial draft package rather than risk losing Harris without comparable return. The draft capital included the Miami first that became especially valuable in later Clippers maneuvering, and the deal increased the franchise's flexibility heading into the 2019 offseason. Harris was a very good player for Philadelphia, so the transaction was not empty value on the other side, but the amount and strategic usefulness of the Clippers' return support the A- / Clippers Win result.
