Memphis received Eric Murdock; Eric Mobley and sent Benoit Benjamin. The Grizzlies’ return produced the stronger hindsight value after player production, draft conversion, role, contract timing and downstream asset use were considered. The advantage is modest: Memphis either acquired the best individual contributor, recovered superior draft capital or reduced the heavier long-term cost. Milwaukee Bucks still received identifiable value, which is reflected in the other team grade rather than treated as a zero-return side.
