The exchange is best treated as broadly even once role, timing and asset quality are considered. Milwaukee Bucks received Chucky Brown. Phoenix Suns received Darrin Hancock; 1997 (or possibly 1998 or possibly 1999) conditional second round pick (not exercised). On a hindsight basis, most of the value rests in the players and assets that actually changed hands. The grade also accounts for transaction scale and whether the outgoing package contained premium first-round or established-player value.
