Seattle received 1993 second round pick (#52-Mike Peplowski) and sent Sonics agreed to not select B.J. Armstrong with the #16 or #17 pick in the 1989 NBA draft. Bulls generated the clearly stronger realized package. The grading is retrospective: named draft selections are evaluated by what they became, while unknown or still-protected picks are kept conservative. Later unrelated transactions are not credited as if they were guaranteed at the time of this deal. For a lower-profile transaction, the grade stays conservative and focuses on durable rotation value, pick conversion and the actual cost paid.
