Carolina Panthers and Miami Dolphins
Carolina Panthers Win Tier: standard
Confidence: high
Miami acquired defensive end Jay Williams from Carolina in 2002, while the Panthers received defensive end Al Wallace plus a 2003 fourth-round pick that became safety Colin Branch. Williams gave Miami three useful seasons and 10.5 sacks from 2002 through 2004. Carolina nevertheless extracted greater total value: Wallace became a five-year Panthers contributor, and Branch started 19 games with four interceptions. The Panthers win, but Miami’s return was legitimately productive.
