Jacksonville traded veteran kicker Josh Scobee to Pittsburgh on August 31, 2015 for a 2016 sixth-round pick, later No. 201 and used on Brandon Allen. Scobee's Pittsburgh tenure lasted only four games before the Steelers released him after costly misses.
