Detroit Lions and New York Yanks
Detroit Lions Win Tier: major
Confidence: high
Detroit secured the rights to Doak Walker after the 1948 season by sending the rights to quarterback Johnny Rauch to the Yanks. A Packers historical account says the Yanks also included a second player whose identity is not given and who was waived before the season. Walker then starred for Detroit from 1950 through 1955 and reached five Pro Bowls, making the Lions the decisive winner.
