Carolina Panthers and San Francisco 49ers
Carolina Panthers Win Tier: standard
Confidence: high
Carolina acquired safety Colin Jones from San Francisco for a 2014 seventh-round pick. Jones became a long-running Panthers special-teams contributor and reserve defensive back, remaining with the organization for years and appearing in more than 100 games. San Francisco eventually used the acquired pick on defensive lineman Kaleb Ramsey, who did not create comparable NFL value. For a minimal price, Carolina secured unusual longevity and dependable depth.
