Buffalo acquired three-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Marcus Stroud from Jacksonville for picks No. 71 and No. 143. Stroud immediately became a full-time Bills starter and produced 150 tackles with 7.5 sacks across three seasons. Jacksonville later reused both picks in additional draft-day moves, but those chains did not produce comparable long-term Jaguars value. Buffalo received the best direct football asset and clearly won.
Miami acquired tight end Anthony Fasano and linebacker Akin Ayodele from Dallas for the 100th pick in the 2008 draft. Fasano became a productive five-year Dolphin, while Ayodele started for two seasons. Dallas repeatedly moved the incoming pick and ultimately turned the chain into Tashard Choice and Orlando Scandrick, with Scandrick becoming a nine-year Cowboy. Both organizations extracted substantial, durable value from very different paths.

Both sides did extremely well, but Dallas created greater combined value.
