Las Vegas Raiders and Tennessee Titans
The Raiders jumped from No. 17 to No. 9 in the 1996 draft and selected tight end Rickey Dudley, sending Houston the 17th, 48th and 109th picks. Dudley became a productive NFL starter, so Oakland did not come away empty. Houston, however, turned the package into multiple useful assets and used No. 17 moments later as the centerpiece of the move for Eddie George, giving the Oilers the far greater long-term return.
