Kansas City moved from No. 18 to No. 13 and selected Tony Gonzalez, who became the defining tight end of his era and one of the greatest players in franchise history. Tennessee received a multi-pick package led by Kenny Holmes, a productive defensive lineman, but no part of the return approached Gonzalez's Hall of Fame impact.
Atlanta sent its 2010 second-round pick to Kansas City for Tony Gonzalez and received five seasons from the greatest tight end of his generation. Gonzalez made the Pro Bowl four times as a Falcon, remained a high-volume target for Matt Ryan and helped Atlanta reach the playoffs three times.
