Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins
Even Trade Tier: standard
Confidence: high
Miami acquired tight end Anthony Fasano and linebacker Akin Ayodele from Dallas for the 100th pick in the 2008 draft. Fasano became a productive five-year Dolphin, while Ayodele started for two seasons. Dallas repeatedly moved the incoming pick and ultimately turned the chain into Tashard Choice and Orlando Scandrick, with Scandrick becoming a nine-year Cowboy. Both organizations extracted substantial, durable value from very different paths.
Dallas Cowboys Win Tier: standard
Confidence: high
Oakland moved up four spots for safety Tyvon Branch, sending Dallas picks No. 104 and No. 213. Branch became a long-term Raiders starter with four consecutive seasons of at least 94 tackles. Dallas transformed the incoming choices into Tashard Choice and Orlando Scandrick; Scandrick played nine seasons for the Cowboys and became a regular starter. Both sides did extremely well, but Dallas created greater combined value.
