Arizona Cardinals Win
Arizona Cardinals B-
Carolina Panthers D+

Arizona Cardinals received

  • 2017 third-round pick (No. 98, Chad Williams)
  • 2017 fourth-round pick (No. 115, Dorian Johnson)

Carolina Panthers received

  • 2017 third-round pick (No. 77, Daeshon Hall)

Carolina paid picks No. 98 and No. 115 to Arizona to move up to No. 77 for defensive end Daeshon Hall. Hall appeared in only one regular-season game for the Panthers before injuries derailed his rookie year and his Carolina tenure ended. Arizona turned the two incoming choices into wide receiver Chad Williams and guard Dorian Johnson, giving the Cardinals more realized roster value from the exchange.

Trade 2

Carolina Panthers Win
Arizona Cardinals D+
Carolina Panthers B

Arizona Cardinals received

  • Robbie Anderson

Carolina Panthers received

  • 2024 6th round pick (178th overall subsequently traded, Logan Lee)
  • 2025 7th round pick (230th overall subsequently traded, Dan Jackson)

Carolina traded Robbie Anderson to Arizona in October 2022 for a 2024 sixth-round pick and a 2025 seventh-rounder. The move ended an unhappy Panthers relationship while recovering two future assets and clearing the receiver from the roster. Anderson produced little for Arizona before the Cardinals moved on, so even modest late-round compensation became meaningful. Carolina won by extracting value from a player it was already prepared to separate from.
