Arizona Cardinals received

  • Kevin Thomas

Seattle Seahawks received

  • 1990 conditional draft pick (trade criteria not met)

Seattle sent center Kevin Thomas to Phoenix on August 7, 1989, for a conditional 1990 draft choice. Seattle’s own transaction history says the trade criteria were not met, so the pick never became usable draft capital. Thomas was then waived by Phoenix later that month, leaving both clubs with almost no lasting football value from the move.

Trade 3

April 3, 1995

Seattle Seahawks Win
Arizona Cardinals C+
Seattle Seahawks B-

Arizona Cardinals received

  • 1995 fourth-round pick (106th overall, Melvin Hayes; subsequently traded)

Seattle Seahawks received

  • Ricky Proehl

Seattle acquired wide receiver Ricky Proehl from Arizona on April 3, 1995, for a fourth-round selection, No. 106 overall. Proehl gave the Seahawks two seasons of useful veteran receiving depth before continuing a long NFL career elsewhere. The cost was modest Day 3 capital, making Seattle the side that realized the clearer direct football return.
