Atlanta Falcons received
1999 2nd round pick (42nd overall, Reggie Kelly)
Baltimore Ravens received
2000 1st round pick (5th overall, Jamal Lewis)
Atlanta traded its 2000 first-round pick to Baltimore for the 42nd selection in 1999, using that second-rounder on tight end Reggie Kelly. The future pick became No. 5 overall after the Falcons fell to 5-11, and Baltimore used it on Jamal Lewis. Lewis became the centerpiece of the Ravens' 2000 Super Bowl offense and later rushed for 2,066 yards in a season, turning the deferred pick into overwhelming value.
2012 5th round pick (164th overall, Jonathan Massaquoi)
Baltimore Ravens received
2012 3rd round pick (84th overall, Bernard Pierce)
Baltimore sent picks No. 91 and No. 164 to Atlanta to move up seven spots for Bernard Pierce. Pierce immediately became Ray Rice's primary backup and contributed 532 rushing yards as a rookie during the Ravens' Super Bowl championship season. Atlanta selected Lamar Holmes and Jonathan Massaquoi, both of whom provided some starting or rotational snaps. The Falcons found usable players, but Pierce's early production on a title team gives Baltimore the stronger return.
2020 5th round pick (157th overall subsequently traded, Daniel Thomas)
Atlanta sent picks No. 55 and No. 157 to Baltimore for tight end Hayden Hurst and pick No. 134, which the Falcons used on Jaylinn Hawkins. Hurst gave Atlanta two productive seasons, but Baltimore used No. 55 on J.K. Dobbins and converted the fifth-rounder into additional trade value. The Ravens gained the stronger long-term return while Atlanta received a useful short-term starter.
