1974 fourth round pick (#103-Richard Williams (a))
Minnesota acquired guard Steve Lawson plus Cincinnati's 1975 fourth-round pick, while the Bengals received Minnesota's 1974 fourth- and 1975 third-round choices. Lawson became a multi-year Vikings lineman, but Cincinnati converted its picks into Richard Williams and linebacker Bo Harris. Both sides gained usable value, with the Bengals' two-pick return giving Cincinnati the narrow overall edge.
Cincinnati sent Minnesota the rights to Orlando Nelson for a 1977 seventh-round choice. The Bengals used the pick at No. 194 on tight end Jim Corbett, who went on to appear in 44 NFL games and catch 25 passes. That was modest production, but it was still a concrete return from a low-cost transaction and gives Cincinnati the edge.
Minnesota moved from No. 48 to No. 41 in the 2017 second round for Dalvin Cook, sending Cincinnati pick No. 48 and No. 128. Cook became a four-time Pro Bowler and one of the Vikings' most productive modern running backs. Cincinnati selected Joe Mixon at No. 48, and Mixon produced seven strong seasons, a Pro Bowl campaign and major postseason contributions. Both teams found foundational offensive value.
