Cleveland Browns received
1995 5th round pick (136th overall, Tau Pupua)
1996 6th round pick (186th overall; subsequently traded by Cleveland)
Jacksonville Jaguars received
1995 4th round pick (123rd overall, Mike Thompson)
Cleveland Browns received 1995 5th round pick (136th overall, Tau Pupua); 1996 6th round pick (186th overall; subsequently traded by Cleveland) in the 1995-04-23 exchange with Jacksonville Jaguars. Tau Pupua did not produce a meaningful Browns return, while Cleveland later moved the future sixth-round selection rather than converting it directly into the player sometimes attached to the pick chain. The direct package is the basis for the hindsight grade, with later movement of an acquired selection treated separately. That supports Even Trade.
Cleveland moved up three spots and selected center Melvin Fowler at No. 76. Fowler gave the Browns three seasons of useful offensive-line service and made 14 starts, so the trade did produce a legitimate contributor. The return was respectable for a third-round move, but it did not match Jacksonville's combination of Wali Rainer's immediate starting role and the additional No. 79 selection.
2019 5th round pick (144th overall; traded with pick 49 to Indianapolis for pick 46, Greedy Williams; Indianapolis selected Marvell Tell at 144)
Jacksonville Jaguars received
Carlos Hyde
Cleveland Browns received 2019 5th round pick (144th overall). Cleveland retained the future fifth-round value and later folded that asset into the draft movement associated with Greedy Williams, preserving more usable roster-building value than Jacksonville received from Hyde. Compared with Jacksonville Jaguars' return, the result supports a B+ grade and fits the Cleveland Browns Win verdict.
Cleveland Browns received Ronnie Harrison from Jacksonville Jaguars, giving up 2021 5th round pick (170th overall subsequently traded, Garret Wallow). The fifth-round return can be followed to No. 170 before a later move. The return supports a B- grade because the value directly tied to this deal fits that mark. The final verdict is Cleveland Browns Win.
Jacksonville paid a premium to move from No. 5 to No. 2 in 2025 for two-way star Travis Hunter, also receiving Bhayshul Tuten and Rayuan Lane. Cleveland turned the move down into Mason Graham, Quinshon Judkins, Dylan Sampson and Jacksonville’s 2026 first-rounder, used on KC Concepcion. After one season, Cleveland has already produced more established NFL value, while Hunter’s ceiling keeps Jacksonville’s case very much alive.
2026 7th round pick (239th overall, subsequently traded; Tommy Doman selected at No. 239)
Jacksonville Jaguars received
Greg Newsome II
2026 6th round pick (182nd overall, subsequently traded; Taylen Green selected at No. 182)
Jacksonville acquired Greg Newsome II and a 2026 sixth-round pick from Cleveland for Tyson Campbell and a 2026 seventh. Newsome recorded 29 tackles, six passes defensed and an interception in 12 Jaguars games. Campbell produced 53 tackles, 12 passes defensed, an interception touchdown and a forced fumble for Cleveland, while Jacksonville also improved the attached draft choice by one round.
