Houston acquired veteran guard Shaq Mason and a 2023 seventh-round pick from Tampa Bay for the 179th selection. Mason immediately started all 17 games in 2023 and ultimately made 32 starts for the Texans across two seasons. Tampa Bay later sent pick No. 179 to Green Bay while moving up for Cody Mauch. The Buccaneers preserved draft value, but Mason's two seasons of starting play give Houston the win.
