Trade 1

September 5, 2015

Seattle Seahawks Win
Kansas City Chiefs C
Seattle Seahawks B

Kansas City Chiefs received

  • 2016 5th round pick (162nd overall, Kevin Hogan)

Seattle Seahawks received

  • Kelcie McCray

Kansas City turned Kelcie McCray into the 162nd selection of the 2016 draft and used the pick on Stanford quarterback Kevin Hogan. Hogan did not become a regular-season contributor for the Chiefs, so Kansas City obtained legitimate draft value but little realized football production from the selection. That leaves the Chiefs behind Seattle in hindsight.

Even Trade
Kansas City Chiefs C
Seattle Seahawks C

Kansas City Chiefs received

  • 2018 conditional seventh-round pick (not conveyed)

Seattle Seahawks received

  • Isaiah Battle

Kansas City sent offensive tackle Isaiah Battle to Seattle at the 2017 roster deadline for a conditional 2018 seventh-round pick. The condition was not met, so the Chiefs did not receive the selection. Battle never produced regular-season value for Seattle and was waived on November 1, leaving Kansas City with no return but no meaningful lost production.

Trade 3

April 23, 2019

Kansas City Chiefs Win
Kansas City Chiefs B+
Seattle Seahawks D+

Kansas City Chiefs received

  • Frank Clark
  • 2019 3rd round pick (84th overall, Khalen Saunders)

Seattle Seahawks received

  • 2019 1st round pick (29th overall, L.J. Collier)
  • 2019 3rd round pick (92nd overall subsequently traded, Chuma Edoga)
  • 2020 2nd round pick (64th overall subsequently traded, Jeremy Chinn)

Kansas City sent premium draft capital to Seattle for Frank Clark and a third-round pick. Clark's regular-season production did not always match his contract, but he delivered repeated postseason pressure and helped the Chiefs win two Super Bowls. Seattle's return was led by L.J. Collier, whose limited impact prevented the Seahawks from converting the valuable package.
