Seattle Seahawks received
1978 eleventh round pick (#301-George Halas (a))
Miami acquired defensive lineman Carl Barisich from Seattle for an eleventh-round pick in the 1978 draft. Barisich appeared in 45 games for the Dolphins from 1977 through 1980, giving Miami four seasons of useful depth. Seattle used No. 301 on George Halas, whose selection did not produce comparable NFL value for the Seahawks.
Miami Dolphins received Kris Richard in the exchange with Seattle Seahawks. Its C grade reflects the practical value of that return relative to the package surrendered and the hindsight result. The grade remains tied to documented value for the acquiring club, without assigning credit for unresolved or hypothetical downstream consideration.
2021 6th round pick (208th overall subsequently traded, Stone Forsythe)
Seattle Seahawks received
2020 7th round pick (251st overall, Stephen Sullivan)
Miami gave Seattle the 251st pick in 2020 for Seattle's 2021 sixth-rounder, later identified as No. 208. Seattle selected Stephen Sullivan at 251, while the future pick moved through additional transactions before another team used it. Because neither side created notable direct value from the original assets, later movement should not distort the comparison. The trade grades as a modest, essentially even swap of late draft capital.
