Green Bay purchased Bo Molenda after he had previously been loaned by the New York Yankees. Molenda became a useful piece of the undefeated 1929 championship team, starting nine games and scoring three touchdowns. That immediate contribution gave Green Bay tangible football value from a straightforward cash transaction. That outcome supports a B grade for Green Bay Packers within the final Green Bay Packers Win verdict.
Green Bay acquired Roy Baker and Larry Marks from the New York Yankees in August 1928. Both gave the Packers usable backfield and roster value, with Marks appearing in 11 games that season and Baker remaining with Green Bay into 1929. The Yankees received Rudy Rosatti and Hector Cyre, but Cyre managed only three games and one start for them while Rosatti's 1928 NFL service came with the Giants.
