Trade Analysis
The trade terms are confirmed by both clubs and the NFL's 2022 draft tracker. Los Angeles sent pick No. 218 to Tampa Bay on April 30, 2022. The Buccaneers gave the Rams picks No. 235 and No. 261. Tampa Bay used No. 218 on Minnesota tight end Ko Kieft, while Los Angeles selected edge defender Daniel Hardy at No. 235 and offensive tackle A.J. Arcuri at No. 261. All three picks were exercised directly, so this transaction can be evaluated without a downstream trade chain.
Kieft became the most durable team contributor in the deal. Tampa Bay's official biography credits him with 53 regular-season games and 19 starts through the end of 2025, along with eight receptions for 82 yards and two touchdowns. His value has been concentrated in blocking and special teams rather than receiving volume; the Buccaneers also credit him with 24 career special-teams tackles through that point. He started 12 games as a rookie and six more in 2023, then remained a regular roster and special-teams presence through 2025. He was still with Tampa Bay in 2026, extending the organizational value of the pick beyond his rookie contract's early seasons.
Hardy's Rams contribution was much shorter. NFL career records show six regular-season appearances for Los Angeles in 2022, no starts and four combined tackles, with no sacks.
