Las Vegas sent Green Bay first- and second-round picks for Davante Adams, then gave him a major extension. Adams produced 221 catches, 2,869 yards and 23 touchdowns for the Raiders before being traded to the Jets in 2024 for a third-round pick later used in the Geno Smith deal. Green Bay drafted Quay Walker at No. 22 and used No. 53 in the move for Christian Watson. Both sides gained value, but Green Bay built the stronger long-term return.

Las Vegas made a blockbuster move in March 2022, sending Green Bay picks 22 and 53 for Davante Adams before signing the All-Pro receiver to a new contract. The Raiders were pairing Adams with college teammate Derek Carr and believed an elite receiver could push a playoff roster further. Green Bay chose draft capital and a younger offensive timeline instead of extending its star receiver.
Adams was excellent individually in Las Vegas. He caught 100 passes for 1,516 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2022, then 103 for 1,144 yards and eight touchdowns in 2023. Before his 2024 departure, his Raiders totals reached 221 receptions, 2,869 yards and 23 touchdowns. The team success never matched the individual numbers, however. Las Vegas did not win a playoff game during his tenure and traded him to the Jets in October 2024 for a conditional 2025 third-round pick.
That later return mattered. The pick became No. 92, and the Raiders sent it to Seattle in the 2025 trade for quarterback Geno Smith. Adams therefore generated both high-end receiving production and another useful asset after his Raiders tenure.
Green Bay's return also continued branching. The Packers used No. 22 on linebacker Quay Walker, who topped 100 tackles in each of his first four seasons and led Green Bay in tackles every year before leaving in 2026. Pick No. 53 was combined with No. 59 to move up to No. 34 for Christian Watson. Watson has 2,264 receiving yards and 20 touchdowns through four seasons and signed another extension in 2026.
The existing Green Bay B and Las Vegas B- grades are too low for both sides. The Packers rise to A- because they converted Adams into years of defensive production plus a key piece of the Watson move. Las Vegas rises to B because Adams remained elite and later produced trade capital. Green Bay still wins on age, cost and sustained roster value.
