New York emerged from the three-team deal with Bob Boozer and Johnny Egan, two useful rotation pieces who also retained downstream trade value. With the partner legs now reconstructed, the deal grades as a Knicks Win.

Detroit Pistons received Donnie Butcher; Bob Duffy; Hub Reed (PTBNL delivered 1964-05-02). New York Knicks received Johnny Egan. Sacramento Kings received Larry Staverman.

Atlanta acquired cash from Knicks in exchange for rights to Bob Duffy (Joseph).

Detroit acquired Larry Staverman from Washington Wizards for Kevin Loughery.

New York acquired Billy McGill from Bullets for Gene Shue; Paul Hogue. The partner captured substantially more realized value than New York.

New York acquired rights to Len Chappell from 76ers for cash. Both sides realized enough value that a decisive winner would overstate the result.

Atlanta acquired Richie Guerin from Knicks in exchange for 1964 second-round pick (No. 15, Howard Komives); $50,000 cash.

Boston acquired rights to Willie Naulls from Warriors in exchange for cash.

Golden State received the rights to John Windsor for Hubie White; Philadelphia produced the stronger realized return from the exchange.

Atlanta acquired Woody Sauldsberry from Zephyrs in exchange for Barney Cable.

Boston acquired cash from Knicks in exchange for Jack Foley.
