Washington moved down from No. 18 to No. 21 in the 2002 first round and received Oakland's third-round pick at No. 89. Oakland immediately used No. 18 as part of another move to No. 17 for Phillip Buchanon. Washington later moved both acquired choices again while reshaping its draft board. Because neither club directly turned this exchange into a lasting cornerstone, the trade grades remain close.
Miami acquired tight end Anthony Fasano and linebacker Akin Ayodele from Dallas for the 100th pick in the 2008 draft. Fasano became a productive five-year Dolphin, while Ayodele started for two seasons.
