Miami traded down from No. 48 and received No. 62, No. 202 and a 2020 second-rounder. The Dolphins later used No. 62 in the Josh Rosen deal, drafted Isaiah Prince at 202 and selected Raekwon Davis at No. 56 in 2020. Those returns produced some value, but they did not match New Orleans' long-term payoff from Erik McCoy.
Miami traded the 62nd pick in 2019 and a 2020 fifth-rounder to Arizona for quarterback Josh Rosen, betting that the previous year’s No. 10 pick could rebound in a new setting. Rosen started only three games for the Dolphins, threw one touchdown against five interceptions and was waived before the 2020 season. Arizona used No. 62 on Andy Isabella and later recycled the fifth-round asset in the Kenyan Drake trade.
