Chicago traded picks 18, 83 and 201 to St. Louis in 1996 for No. 13 and selected cornerback Walt Harris. Harris became a six-year Bears starter and later a Pro Bowler, giving Chicago meaningful value. The Rams drafted Eddie Kennison, Jerald Moore and Hayward Clay; Kennison had the strongest overall career but much of it came after St. Louis. The broader package gives the Rams a narrow win.

St. Louis traded wide receiver Eddie Kennison to New Orleans for the 41st pick in the 1999 draft and used it on cornerback Dre’ Bly. Bly played 167 NFL games, intercepted 43 passes, made two Pro Bowls and won a Super Bowl as a rookie. Kennison remained a productive NFL receiver, but his Saints stay was brief, giving the Rams the stronger long-term return.
Chicago acquired Eddie Kennison from New Orleans for the 138th pick in the 2000 draft. Kennison started 10 games for the Bears that season and caught 55 passes for 549 yards and two touchdowns. New Orleans later traded the pick to Indianapolis and turned it into two later choices, including Michael Hawthorne. The Saints recovered some value, but Chicago received the strongest immediate production from the original exchange.
