Los Angeles Chargers and New England Patriots
Los Angeles Chargers Win Tier: major
Confidence: high
Los Angeles moved up three spots in the 2024 second round for Ladd McConkey and also received fifth-round cornerback Tarheeb Still, while New England took Ja'Lynn Polk and Javon Baker. McConkey has produced 1,938 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns through two seasons, and Still has become a regular starter with four career interceptions. The Patriots’ two receivers have not approached that impact, making this a clear Chargers win.
New England Patriots Win Tier: standard
Confidence: high
New Orleans acquired Ja'Lynn Polk and a 2028 seventh-round pick from New England for a 2027 sixth. Polk was already unavailable for the 2025 season because of a shoulder injury and never played a regular-season snap for the Saints; he was placed on the Reserve/Retired list in August 2026. New England therefore improved from a future seventh to a sixth while moving a player who produced no Saints on-field return.
