Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers
Green Bay sent quarterback Kent Nix to Pittsburgh and received the 1968 fifth-round choice that became No. 120 Steve Duich. The draft return did not create value comparable to Nix's three seasons of quarterback service for the Steelers. Green Bay still recovered a real draft asset, which keeps the result from being lopsided, but the Packers realized the smaller football return.

Minnesota acquired quarterback Kent Nix from Pittsburgh on September 2, 1970 for a 1971 fifth-round selection. Nix never appeared in a regular-season game for the Vikings and was released before later joining Chicago. Pittsburgh used the acquired pick on Fred Brister at No. 128, but Brister also never appeared in an NFL regular-season game, leaving both returns effectively empty.

New Orleans acquired quarterback Kent Nix and defensive tackle Ron Billingsley from Houston for Edd Hargett, Dave Parks and Tom Stincic in March 1973. Neither Nix nor Billingsley played a regular-season game for the Saints, while Parks made five appearances for Houston. The Oilers therefore receive a slight edge, though the transaction produced little lasting value for either club.
