Kiko Alonso

Buffalo moved from No. 8 to No. 16 and added three more picks, selecting EJ Manuel, Kiko Alonso, Marquise Goodwin and Chris Gragg. Manuel did not solve quarterback, but Alonso delivered an exceptional rookie season and later became the trade asset used to acquire LeSean McCoy, while Goodwin provided four seasons of speed. St. Louis used No. 8 on Tavon Austin and No. 71 on T.J. McDonald. Both teams found contributors, with Buffalo's depth and Alonso's later value providing the edge.

Buffalo acquired LeSean McCoy for Kiko Alonso and received the best direct player in the exchange. McCoy spent four seasons with the Bills, topped 1,000 rushing yards twice and made multiple Pro Bowls. Philadelphia got one season from Alonso before packaging him with Byron Maxwell and a first-round pick to move from No. 13 to No. 8 in 2016. That later draft maneuver salvaged meaningful value, but Buffalo still won the original swap.

Philadelphia sent Byron Maxwell, Kiko Alonso, and the No. 13 pick to Miami for the No. 8 pick. Miami selected Laremy Tunsil, who became an elite tackle and later produced another enormous trade return. Philadelphia escaped two unwanted contracts and used No. 8 as the foundation of its move for Carson Wentz. Both franchises achieved major strategic value.

Miami and New Orleans swapped linebackers immediately after the 2019 roster cutdown, with the Dolphins receiving Vince Biegel and the Saints acquiring veteran Kiko Alonso. The deal exchanged a younger reserve for a more established starter as both teams adjusted their linebacker rooms. The Miami Dolphins produced the stronger realized return, supporting the Miami Dolphins Win verdict.

San Francisco traded Kwon Alexander to New Orleans for Kiko Alonso and a fifth-round pick that became Deommodore Lenoir. The Saints got linebacker help, but Lenoir became the best long-term asset. San Francisco wins the trade.
