Philadelphia traded picks No. 68 and No. 135 to Tennessee for No. 61 and selected guard Bobbie Williams. Williams became a useful Eagle late in his tenure, appearing in 33 regular-season games from 2001 through 2003 and starting 12, before developing into a long-term starter elsewhere. Philadelphia found a legitimate NFL lineman, but most of his career value arrived after he left the Eagles.

Trade Analysis
The Exchange
On April 15, 2000, Philadelphia sent Tennessee picks No. 68 and No. 135 for pick No. 61. The Eagles selected Arkansas offensive lineman Bobbie Williams. The Titans used No. 68 on Florida tight end Erron Kinney and No. 135 on Michigan State safety Aric Morris. Both clubs found NFL players, but the important distinction is how much value those players delivered to the teams that made the trade.
Philadelphia Eagles Return
Williams eventually had a long, productive NFL career, appearing in 163 games and making 136 starts. His Philadelphia return was much smaller than those career totals suggest. He did not play as a rookie, appeared in 33 regular-season games from 2001 through 2003, and made 12 starts before leaving for Cincinnati. The Eagles identified a capable lineman, but another team received most of his prime.
Tennessee Titans Return
Kinney became a durable part of the Titans' offense. He played six seasons in Tennessee, appearing in 83 games and starting 67. He caught 178 passes for 1,750 yards and 10 touchdowns while serving as a dependable two-way tight end. Morris added 51 career games, though his Tennessee impact was secondary to Kinney's. The move down therefore produced both extra draft volume and the strongest team-specific contributor.
Value in Hindsight
Hindsight should credit Philadelphia for selecting a player who proved he belonged in the league. Trade value, however, is measured by what the acquiring club actually received. Kinney delivered far more sustained service to Tennessee than Williams did to Philadelphia.
Final Verdict
Tennessee earns a B+ for moving down, adding a pick and landing a six-year starter. Philadelphia receives a C+ for finding a quality lineman but retaining his value only briefly. The Titans win.
