Rockets Win. Wesley became an immediate backcourt starter and secondary scorer for a Houston team built around Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming. He supplied dependable minutes during a playoff push without costing Houston a premium long-term asset. New Orleans never extracted comparable value from the return. Jackson did not become a meaningful part of the team's future, while Nachbar was a useful but limited rotation forward.

Atlanta acquired Tyronn Lue from Rockets in exchange for Jon Barry.

The Nets acquired Vince Carter from Raptors in exchange for Alonzo Mourning; Eric Williams; Aaron Williams; first-round pick (protected top 8 in 2005, top 5 in 2006) (2005 #16, Joey Graham); first-round pick (protected top 5 in 2006, top 2 in 2007) (2006 #20, Renaldo Balkman).

Chicago sent Jamal Crawford, Jerome Williams for Othella Harrington, Frank Williams, Dikembe Mutombo, plus 1 additional asset, and the outgoing package produced materially greater realized value.

Atlanta acquired Antoine Walker; Tony Delk from Mavericks in exchange for Jason Terry; Alan Henderson; 2007 first round pick (76ers pick) (lottery protected, else $1M cash) (cash).
