Oklahoma City absorbed Al Horford, acquired a future first and additional rights, and later restored Horford’s trade value; Philadelphia received immediate cap and roster relief.

Wizards Win. Washington earns B+ for Russell Westbrook's one season of substantial playmaking and its 2021 playoff appearance. Houston receives B- for John Wall's limited comeback season and the conditional first-round asset, with the protection schedule preventing any invented guaranteed lottery return. Westbrook's later teams and Wall's previous Wizards achievements aren't counted as newly acquired production. Washington sent John Wall and a heavily protected future first-round pick to Houston for Russell Westbrook on December 2, 2020. Wall had missed a long stretch because of injury, so the Rockets were betting on a comeback

Charlotte acquired Gordon Hayward and two future second-round selections from Boston in a November 2020 sign-and-trade. The Celtics received a conditional second-round right that did not convey and created a trade exception. Hayward played substantial minutes for Charlotte across several seasons, although injuries limited his availability. Charlotte's inherited narrow advantage is B to Boston B-.

Cleveland acquired Rayjon Tucker and a future 2027 second-round selection in a November 2020 transaction with Utah. The Jazz received cash considerations. Tucker offered an athletic guard or wing evaluation, while the future pick could supply a later draft chance. Both grades remain N/A and the inherited result is Insufficient Evidence because the final conveyance and long-term asset production are unresolved in the source ledger.

Bucks Win. Milwaukee acquired Jrue Holiday and Sam Merrill and won the 2021 title in Holiday's first season. New Orleans received Steven Adams, Eric Bledsoe, Milwaukee's 2025 and 2027 firsts and swap rights in 2024 and 2026. Oklahoma City received George Hill, Denver's protected first, four Pelicans players and two Pelicans seconds. Denver received R.J. Hampton's draft rights. Detroit acquired Zhaire Smith from Philadelphia 76ers for Tony Bradley.

Houston converted Robert Covington into a strong rebuilding package.

Atlanta traded Dewayne Dedmon to Detroit in November 2020 for Tony Snell, Khyri Thomas and roster flexibility. Snell played 47 Hawks games, shooting 56.9% from three while contributing to the 2021 Eastern Conference Finals team. Thomas was quickly waived. Orlando acquired defensive wing James Ennis III from Philadelphia on February 6, 2020, for a 2020 second-round pick owed originally by the Lakers. Slight Hawks Edge: The deal became a referendum on Houston's small-ball experiment, but its broader lesson is that four-team trades can produce more than one good outcome. Atlanta found the best long-term fit, Minnesota extracted meaningful young-player value, Houston gained a useful specialist and later assets, and Denver chose a conservative path that produced the least upside.
