Rockets Win: The transaction is remembered as a McGrady salary-clearing deal, but that shorthand understates Houston's work. The Rockets turned an ending into Martin, a prospect, a first and swap control, while New York purchased flexibility and Sacramento reset its backcourt. Houston's return had the deepest combination of present and future utility.
