76ers Win. Rogers gave Philadelphia usable veteran minutes, while Mashburn’s contract and health situation were absorbed without producing on-court value. Even that limited contribution exceeded New Orleans’ result because Robinson was waived only days after the trade and never appeared for the franchise. New Orleans was trying to move salary and unavailable veterans, so the transaction had financial and roster-management logic. Still, Robinson’s immediate waiver meant the basketball return was effectively nonexistent, making it hard to defend the old even-trade framing.

Golden State acquired Baron Davis from New Orleans for Speedy Claxton, Dale Davis and cash. Davis later powered the 2007 “We Believe” Warriors past 67-win Dallas and ended the franchise’s 13-year playoff drought, while the Hornets received little lasting basketball value.

New York holds a slight long-term edge because the return included Malik Rose plus first-round picks that became David Lee and Mardy Collins, while San Antonio received an immediate starting center in Nazr Mohammed who helped win the 2005 championship. The Spurs' title payoff keeps their grade high even though the Knicks captured more cumulative asset value.

Philadelphia acquired Chris Webber, Matt Barnes and Michael Bradley for Kenny Thomas, Brian Skinner and Corliss Williamson. Webber remained productive enough to give the 76ers the best individual return, but knee limitations, salary and a short tenure prevented the deal from becoming a major win.

The partner finished with a modest edge. The Warriors acquired 2005 second round pick (#42-Chris Taft); 2007 second round pick (#46-Stephane Lasme) from Brooklyn Nets for Clifford Robinson (R.).
