Hornets Win. Charlotte earns A for Biyombo's useful first stint and the Maggette chain that produced Ben Gordon plus a future first. Milwaukee receives B because Jackson, Livingston, Udrih and Harris all had value, but the club did not keep Harris long enough to realize his peak and later conversions were mixed. Sacramento receives D because Salmons and Fredette did not create a comparable player or asset return. Hornets Win is the clearest completed-value verdict. Charlotte's return aged best because both incoming pieces created value tied directly to the deal. Biyombo became a useful defensive center during his initial Charlotte tenure, and Maggette was not merely a one-year scorer: in 2012 Charlotte moved him to Detroit for Ben Gordon and a future first-round pick. That first eventually conveyed as a top-10 selection. The combination of a long-lived rotation big, a productive veteran season and a future first produced more durable value than the announcement-day reaction suggested.

Chicago acquired rights to Nikola Mirotic from Timberwolves for rights to Norris Cole (Gene), rights to Malcolm Lee, cash considerations, producing a clear realized-value win.

Cleveland acquired 2013 second round pick (#31-Allen Crabbe) and 2014 second round pick (#33-Joe Harris) for rights to Justin Harper, producing a clear Cavaliers win on realized player, draft and roster value.
