Bulls Win. The key value was the 2019 second-round pick. Chicago used it on Gafford, who became a legitimate NBA center and created far more multi-year value than Memphis received from Holiday's short stay. Holiday was a credible veteran wing and helped Memphis in the short term, so the deal was not irrational. The problem is that the Grizzlies paid two second-round picks for a rental-length contribution during a season that did not become a deep playoff run.
